One distinctive aspect of Autistic experience is immediate pattern recognition. This ability reveals itself in daily interactions, where patterns encompass complex temporal interactions and allow for multiple interpretations at once. These paintings are painted directly without a prelimnary drawing, encouraging the paint to be itself, creating a live Plein Air feel. Colors are perceived as physical vibrations and energies, such as sound and are experienced physically by the body. Using and citing Cymatics to create patterning within the forms, the paint visually records these vibrations as it dries. These paintings are as much about an interaction with vibrations and frequencies as much as they are about engaging Neurodivergent experience.
