Another aspect of the Autism Spectrum experience is the presence of co-existing conditions, referred to as comorbidity. These multiple experiences can overlap in various ways. In my works, I visually recreate two specific experiences: Synesthesia and its effects. Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sense leads to involuntary activation of another. My synesthetic experiences primarily involve the interplay of sound and color. I approach the print surface as a space where time can be arranged and forms can be manipulated. Inspired by DJ remixes, I use Albrecht Dürer prints as a means to sample and re-edit existing material. This process results in a conceptual coloring book that combines sound vibrations and color in a creative composition, much like a musician or composer creates a piece of music. These prints aim to highlight the vibrations of musical experience, interacting with both the physical and non-physical realms simultaneously.
